As a Transport Development Support Officer, you’ll provide essential support across a range of high-profile transport projects.
You’ll work closely with senior colleagues, internal teams, and external partners to ensure projects are well-coordinated, efficiently managed, and aligned with our strategic goals.

About the person
The Transport Development Support Officer should hold a relevant project management qualification (such as APM, PRINCE2, MSP or PMBOK) or demonstrate equivalent experience supporting multi-modal transport schemes and administrative functions.
The role requires a proven track record of budget monitoring, accurate minute-taking and follow-up, diary and meeting coordination, and maintenance of project artefacts including risk registers and document management systems.
Candidates must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and collaborative IT tools, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.
The post-holder will need to work under pressure to tight deadlines, manage competing priorities independently, and use their own initiative within robust governance frameworks.
You will have good understanding of public transport issues, commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, and a collaborative, action-focused attitude are highly desirable.

- •Proven experience in administrative support for multi-disciplinary projects, including budget monitoring, accurate minute-taking and action follow-up, and diary/meeting coordination.

- •Excellent communication and organisational skills, with advanced Microsoft Office and collaborative-platform proficiency, plus a self-motivated approach to prioritising competing demands and delivering to tight deadlines.

Salary range
- £33,470 - £35,369 per year
