We are recruiting a Technician at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.
We pay an attractive salary of £28,598 - £31,022 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Assist in the delivery of both reactive and capital highway infrastructure construction related projects, including the delivery of highway maintenance and repairs, footway refurbishments, carriageway resurfacing and civil engineering schemes (including structures and retaining walls).
Assist in the delivery of works and services within the Network Contracting Services (NCS) Group of the Engineering Division. It is to primarily support the Assistant/ Senior Engineer by scheduling resources and work, day to day supervision of works on site and on-site inspections to ensure the works are completed safely, to programme and to the relevant/ appropriate standards.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, BTEC Level 3 in Civil Engineering.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to follow set procedures and instructions.
- Experience of highway construction or maintenance.
- Full UK Category B (car) driving licence in order to drive a Council vehicle (pool van).
