You will collaborate with a full-time manager and multi-agency partners to provide supervision, direction, and case progression.

As a Team Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee Care Plans: Monitor and progress incoming referrals, care plans, risk assessments, and progression of asylum claims.
  • Facilitate Transitions: Support young people in their transition into adulthood, including age assessments and human rights assessments as required.
  • Collaborate: Work alongside multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive support for our young people.
  • Provide Direction: Offer supervision and guidance to your team, fostering a supportive and effective working environment.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Professional Qualification: A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Min 2 years post qualifying experience
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UASC, exploitation issues, and care for and leaving care experiences.

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Empathy and Compassion: A genuine desire to support vulnerable children and young adults.
  • Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to assess situations and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with young people, families, and multi-agency partners.

At Nottinghamshire County Council, we offer:

  • A Place to Belong: Join a friendly, inclusive workplace where everyone is valued.
