- Job description
Location: South Lakeland House, Kendal
Contract Type: Permanent
About this opportunity
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for an opportunity to lead, inspire and shape the future of services that make a real difference to people's lives?
We're looking for a Team Manager to lead our South Lakes Occupational Therapy Service, supporting a dedicated team of Occupational Therapists, Social Care Workers and Occupational Therapy Apprentices. This is a rewarding leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to influence practice, develop people and help drive innovation across Adult Social Care.
Working closely with our OT Service Manager (Principal Occupational Therapist), you'll play a key role in strengthening and developing Occupational Therapy services across Westmorland and Furness. You'll champion strengths-based practice, promote independence and wellbeing, and help ensure adults receive the right support at the right time.
This is more than a team management role. It's an opportunity to provide professional leadership, shape service development and support the growth of Occupational Therapy across the organisation.
You'll create an environment where people can thrive, helping your team deliver high-quality outcomes while encouraging learning, innovation and continuous improvement.
You'll also work closely with colleagues across health, housing and community services, building strong partnerships that support integrated working and better experiences for the people we serve.
As part of our wider leadership team, you'll contribute to service transformation, workforce development and the continued advancement of Occupational Therapy within Adult Social Care.
Who we are looking for…
We're looking for a qualified HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with substantial experience in Adult Social Care, health or integrated services.
You'll be an inspiring leader who enjoys supporting and developing others, someone who can build positive relationships, drive high standards and bring people together around a shared vision. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about helping people achieve greater independence and committed to delivering excellent outcomes for our communities.
Whether you're already working at management level or are ready to take the next step in your leadership career, we'd love to hear from you.
