Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate, experienced and dynamic Team Manager to lead our Next Steps team, who support our care experienced young people to the age of 25. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality services to young people through a dedicated team of personal advisers. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of children services and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of personal advisers, providing supervision, support, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Be an active member of the Corporate Parenting Board.
- Develop and build upon the offer for care experienced young people.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team to ensure high standards of practice.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to deliver cost-efficient services.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Significant experience in children services.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Salary range
- £48,062 - £51,541 per year
