2 November 2026 Closing Date 21 October 2026 23:55We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join our Adult Deaf and Visual Impairment Service (ADVIS) as a Team Manager (Job Share).
This is an exciting opportunity within ADVIS, offering the chance to join an established, specialist countywide service supporting adults with sensory impairments. ADVIS is a multidisciplinary team comprising Social Workers, Community Care Officers, Occupational Therapists, Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Officers, Enablement Officers and Promoting Independence Workers. While the team is based at Sherwood Energy Village, the service operates across Nottinghamshire, supporting adults of all ages.
The overarching aim of the service is to support people with sensory needs to live independently and safely in their own homes through therapy, rehabilitation and strengths-based social care support.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a specialist service that places prevention and early intervention at the heart of everything we do.
Working alongside your job-share partner and Co-Manager, you will provide leadership and management across a multidisciplinary team, ensuring people receive high-quality support that maximises independence and enables them to live fulfilling lives.
You will:
- Lead and support a skilled multidisciplinary workforce. Champion strengths-based, preventative and person-centred practice.
- Promote rehabilitation, enablement and independence-focused interventions.
- Support staff to deliver high-quality assessments, safeguarding and support planning.
- Drive continuous improvement, performance and quality assurance.
- Develop strong partnerships with health services, commissioning colleagues, voluntary organisations and community groups.
- Strengthen engagement with Deaf, Deafblind and visually impaired communities across Nottinghamshire.
- Ensure the service continues to respond creatively and effectively to changing needs and increasing demand.

We are looking for a professional leader who:
- Holds a recognised professional qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or any other relevant qualification, and registration with appropriate governing body.
- Has experience of leading teams within Adult Social Care or a related health and social care setting.
- Understands the importance of strengths-based and preventative practice.
- Has experience of safeguarding, performance management and quality assurance.
- Can build positive relationships with partners, stakeholders and communities.
- Demonstrates a commitment to equality, accessibility and inclusion.
- Is passionate about improving outcomes for Deaf people and people with sensory impairments.
