    What is the job role?
    • To ensure a whole family approach is adopted, from assessment planning and intervention through to aftercare methodologies.
    • Expected to model One Coventry Core Social Care Values, best practice and a strong commitment to the continuous development of Trauma Informed Services.
    • To maintain elements of Signs of safety, with a Family Valued model of Social Care practice
    • To be responsible for the management of a team in accordance with Coventry City Councils HR policies and procedures, including the recruitment of staff, provide line management to a range of workers within the service.
    • Expected to achieve high practice standards and meet performance targets set by senior management within their workload and from the staff and projects they supervise.
    • To work closely with the Tirs Team leader to introduce, embed, lead and sustain the work within paediatric, Ward14 and SEND schools settings (As directed by senior management).

    All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

    This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

    Who are we looking for?

    We are looking for someone to:

    • To be accountable for the efficient and effective day-to-day management and delivery of services to children, young people, and their families.
    • To manage the Positive Directions team performance to ensure the service achieves its objectives in line with statutory requirements.
    • Preparing and overseeing court and other specialist reports as requested by legal services, in the required format and to the appropriate standard.
    • To be able to support the staff team through challenging times such as increase in referrals or changes to service expectations.
    • To oversee the delivery of trauma informed interventions and evidence-based programs, to children, young people, and their families, within their home and in a range of agreed settings.
    • To ensure that all joint work delivered by and with partner agencies, are of high quality, outcome focused and provide evidence of the impact of the interventions for children, young people and families.
    • To work closely with the Tirs Team leader to introduce, embed, lead and sustain the work within paediatric, Ward14 and SEND schools settings (As directed by senior management).
