We are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred day services within Community Options. These are key leadership roles where you will help shape services, support staff teams, and make a meaningful difference to the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and other support needs.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in leading and developing staff teams to deliver engaging, outcome-focused services that promote independence, wellbeing, and inclusion within the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership, supervision, and support to staff teams, including appraisals and development planning
  • Managing rotas and ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet service needs
  • Supporting innovative and creative approaches to service delivery to maximise individuals’ potential
  • Promoting independence by supporting individuals to access education, training, employment-related activities, and community opportunities
  • Working in partnership with families, carers, and external professionals to support positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records, risk assessments, and financial processes
  • Leading by example in promoting equality, dignity, and person-centred approaches
  • Managing challenging situations professionally and effectively

You will also be expected to contribute to service development, support business planning, and provide leadership cover where required.

This role requires flexibility to meet service needs, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

About you

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality services and confident in leading and developing others.

You will bring:

  • A QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) with a willingness to work towards Level 4
  • Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or mental health needs
  • Proven experience of supervising or coordinating staff teams
  • Knowledge of person-centred approaches, safeguarding, and promoting independence
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, families, and partner agencies
  • Confidence in risk assessment, report writing, and use of IT systems

You will also demonstrate a strong commitment to equality, anti-discriminatory practice, and continuous personal development.
