About the role

Key responsibilities of the Team Leader post include:

Establishing day to day operational challenges by ensuring incoming work is triaged and allocated to an appropriate member of the Brokerage team and ensuring compliance to relevant policies and procedures.

Managing the practice and performance of the team to ensure the timely and effective completion of work in order to meet the needs of Hertfordshire citizens.

Building positive relationships with key partners.

Effective management of resources and budgets and assurance of quality.

You will provide day to day operational management of Brokerage Solutions’ workflow and staff members, as well as supporting the Team Manager with planning and implementing longer term strategic goals.

You will work closely with operational teams in Hertfordshire’s Older people’s service (both community and hospital teams) as well as colleagues across Finance and Commissioning. You will also liaise closely with service providers and other partners.

This role will give you the opportunity to get to know the commissioning functions within Hertfordshire County Council and afford afford opportunities to manage teams with a great deal of autonomy but within broad guidelines. It offers a unique opportunity and multi-agency work with partner organisations, providers, professionals.

About you

Essential:

  • You will have relevant qualification and/ or relevant experience in Social Care
  • You will have the ability to influence the workings teams and other services
  • You will be a skilled communicator
  • You will be comfortable with managing a team who will be based in office as well as work remotely.

Desirable

  • Management experience
