Job Description
Salary: TA Grade D, SCP 4-6 £ 26,016 - £26,847 (pro rata) & MDSA Grade B, SCP 3 £25,614 (pro rata)
Hours of work: TA role: 20 hrs per week. MDSA role: 3 hours per week.
Hours worked will be between Monday to Friday 8.45 am – 3.15 pm term time only. Exact days/hours to be discussed at interview. Minimum 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Contract: Fixed term until 31/08/2027

All about the role:
The Governors of Preshute C of E (VC) Primary School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with Midday Supervisory Assistant responsibilities to join our friendly and dedicated team. We are looking for a someone who is passionate about learning, sets high expectations and who shares our vision “Live Life, Love Learning”

Your duties will include:
• Supporting children in general classroom practice as well as at lunchtime
• Running intervention groups
• Supporting small groups and children 1:1
• Supporting pupils’ self-esteem, inclusion and behaviour development
Preshute is looking for a candidate who:

• is able to work as part of a team as well as on an individual basis
• will work closely with the class teacher
• builds effective relationships with children and brings enthusiasm to the role
• experience of de-escalation and restorative justice within school
• is calm, patient and has a good sense of humour

• experience of working in within a Primary setting and can work in Early years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• is energetic, enthusiastic, positive and adaptable
• has emotional resilience, empathy and motivation to work with pupils with a variety of different needs
