We are looking for an exceptional teacher who is passionate, reflective and committed to making a real difference for our children. This is a unique opportunity to join us at a pivotal moment -to shape the future of the school and to grow professionally as part of a supportive and ambitious team.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a happy and caring community of children, staff, parents and governors, united in giving every child the very best possible start in their learning journey.

We are proud to be a school where:

  • Children are happy, confident and love learning
  • Staff are caring, committed and highly dedicated, bringing a wide range of expertise
  • Learning is driven by an exciting, creative and inclusive curriculum, enabling every child to achieve their very best
  • Our environment is attractive, well-resourced and stimulating
  • Parents and governors are actively involved partners in school life

We work hard to ensure that Pocklington Infants is a vibrant, nurturing and inspiring place to learn and grow.

Our Improvement Journey

As we move forward, we are excited to be working with the RISE project to further strengthen teaching, learning and outcomes for all pupils. This provides a fantastic opportunity for professional development, collaboration and innovation.

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Is committed to high-quality teaching and continuous improvement
  • Is excited to contribute to a whole-school journey of development
  • Believes in inclusive practice and enabling every child to thrive
  • Is ready to play a full role in shaping the next phase of our school’s success

Our Mission

To provide high-quality learning experiences that enable everyone to reach their full potential within a stimulating, safe and nurturing Christian environment.

Our Christian Values

At Pocklington CE Infant School, our four core Christian values are: Compassion, Perseverance, Truth and Respect.

These values were chosen by our pupils, in partnership with parents, staff and governors, and are at the heart of everything we do. As a Church of England school, our Christian ethos underpins our daily life, guiding our relationships, decision-making and the way we support every member of our community.
