Ealing Council have an exciting new opportunity as a System and Data Analyst available on a full time basis.

Are you passionate about using data to make a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a skilled System and Data Analyst to join our Adults’ Social Care team. You’ll play a key role in providing timely, accurate analysis and interpretation of business intelligence, supporting strategic decisions and service improvements for our residents.

The purpose of this role is to drive data-led service improvement by analysing and interpreting complex data sets, ensuring compliance with both national and local performance targets.

By developing and maintaining insightful dashboards and performance management information, the role supports informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Presenting benchmarking information enables the evaluation of performance and guides future actions.

Collaboration with managers and partners is central to fostering a culture of improvement, while leading on national, service user, and carer surveys ensures that feedback is accurately captured and acted upon.

The role also champions data quality, delivers briefings and training as required, and upholds data protection and governance standards. Additionally, it contributes to change programmes and remains abreast of the latest trends in data analysis to ensure the organisation remains forward-thinking and compliant.

As a System and Data Analyst you will:

  1. Work in close collaboration with the Operational Data Lead and Senior Performance Analyst, contributing to the development of an insight and intelligence culture throughout Adult Social Care.
  2. Support with the development and delivery of business intelligence products such as dashboards.
  3. Support Adult Social Care with local implementation of the Corporate IT strategy.

Our ideal will have the below skills and experience:

  1. Strong knowledge of social care and experience with management information systems.
  2. Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL).
  3. Experience working with large datasets, using coding tools to manipulate and analyse data.
  4. Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
  5. Experience managing or supervising staff.
  6. A relevant professional qualification or equivalent practical experience in a data analyst role.
