Sweeper Driver

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to compliment the council’s Neighbourhood Services Team in delivering street cleansing services by operating a compact sweeper across the borough working alongside our Area based teams sweeping footpaths to supplement our core offer.

The key duties associated with this role will include the following: -

· Delivering a compact sweeper based street cleansing service

· Ensuring relevant legislative and health & safety requirements are met

· Completion of relevant documentation relating to service delivery

· Working to agreed schedules and associated requirements

· Working in cooperation with our Specialist service to ensure footpaths are swept after application of herbicide

· Working to support the service as requested by management

This role could be based at any of our depot locations associated with the operations of Neighbourhood Services and will be subject to change based on service need. You will report directly to a Team Leader and will be expected to carry out allocated work in accordance with the respective job profile to a high standard of quality and safety.

You will need to have experience of operating a compact road sweeper and hold a valid uk driving licence with category C1 or C1+E. You will be used to working in all weather conditions and will be able to undertake duties, often under pressure to meet targets and deadlines while also always remaining effective and efficient.

This role is a 5 from 7 working pattern to allow for some occasional weekend working if required
