Support Worker
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a support worker to join our team at Hedgerows residential service in Staplehurst.
Hedgerows offers short break stays for up to four people giving them and their caregiver a break.
It’s a really rewarding role and due to the service offering short breaks you get to know lots of different people who come at stay at Hedgerows, every stay is different.
The role requires shift work, which includes morning, evening, weekends, and nights.
The yearly salary is between £26,393 to £27,713 pro rota, and with enhancements for waking nights and bank holidays, an allowance of £40.76 for sleep in duties and the potential to work overtime for enhanced money, it does increase the basic salary. Just adding a sleep-in duty once a week to your basic salary could give you an extra £2k a year.

This role is subject to holding a Full UK Driving Licence – The Council is committed to making reasonable adjustments so whilst this job requires the jobholder to drive your application will still be considered if you are unable to drive due to a disability.
