About the role
Do you have the passion and resilience to inspire families to make positive changes?
We’re looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Strengthening Families Practitioner to join our friendly, hard-working team. Based at one of our Family Hubs in the North of the county, you’ll use your skills to engage with parents, children and young people, helping them to improve life chances and achieve better outcomes.
What will you be doing?
You’ll carry your own caseload, delivering one-to-one structured family support as either a lead professional or co-worker, always working in partnership with other agencies. No two days are the same — but every day your work will matter.
About you
We’re looking for someone who can bring both compassion and professionalism to the role. You’ll need:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build trust and positive relationships with families.
- Experience of writing assessments and creating support plans.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and good practice in family work.
- A strong understanding of partnership working.
- Creativity, flexibility and resilience in how you support families.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- The qualifications, skills and experience outlined in the job specification.
