    Are you ready to welcome a new challenge in a “BRAND NEW” purpose-built development, specifically for young people making a journey from a children’s home to independence.

    As a staying close Support Worker you are going to play a vital role in the development and in the promotion of independence to our care leavers who will be living in “trainer flats” You will be located on site and on hand to offer support and outreach to our young people who have reached an age where they can live independently and ready for learning new skills and gaining the experience of the adult world.

    You will be required to work closely with partners from housing, education, health, community, and families, this is a fantastic opportunity to start a service from new and to shape it in the way our children/young people need it to be. You will form part of an established and very experienced staff team, there will be plenty of opportunity to attend training and development, this will be an exciting journey for you and there will be plenty of scope for further development.

    As a Staying Close Support Worker, you will be required to undertake daily admin tasks ranging from updating handovers, assisting with the daily running of the service and offering support to our young people. You will be responsible for updating daily notes, liaising with PA’ s and social workers and attend support plan reviews.

    You may also be required to support with outreach tasks and having a current UK driving licence is essential.

    You will be assisting the Deputy Manager in their daily tasks such as, ensuring each young person has the opportunity to have their voices heard and that they feel well supported whilst living in their own flat.

    You will also be supported by an experienced Registered Manager; you will receive monthly supervisions and annual appraisals. The manager will be on hand to support you through your journey with us.

    What we need from you:

    We need you to be focused on working as a team on promoting independence. As corporate parents, you will be on hand for emotional support as well as an advice giver.

    You will be required to work shifts on a rolling rota, the shift pattern is 2 on 3 off across a 7 day rota.
