    The Role:

    • Join Liverpool City Council’s Housing Solutions Service as a Domestic Abuse Assessment and Prevention Officer and make a lasting impact in the lives of those most in need
    • In this vital, female-specific role, as a Domestic Abuse Assessment and Prevention Officer you will provide specialist, compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse who are at risk of homelessness
    • As the Domestic Abuse Assessment and Prevention Officer you will assess housing needs, develop personalised housing plans, and work within the framework of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, Housing Act 1996, and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 to ensure every client receives safe, timely, and appropriate housing solutions
    • As a key advocate for survivors, in the Assessment and Prevention role, you will collaborate with internal teams, housing providers, and external agencies to deliver coordinated, victim-centred support
    • The Domestic Abuse Assessment and Prevention Officer work will be instrumental in safeguarding vulnerable individuals, you will be promoting recovery, and preventing homelessness through informed decision-making, risk assessment, and strategic partnership working.     This post is open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the need to work in environments such as shelters, female-only housing and spaces supporting vulnerable women.
