
Social Care Practitioner
The North-East Derbyshire Adult Social Work Duty and Safeguarding Team is seeking a permanent part‑time (29 hours and 36 mins per week) Social Care Practitioner to join our busy, supportive service.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed practitioner to work within our Duty & Safeguarding function, providing timely, proportionate responses to adults in need of care and support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to daily duty tasks and unplanned requests for support
- Completing Care Act assessments and contributing to outcome‑focused plans
- Working collaboratively within a small, experienced team consisting of a Service Manager, two Social Workers, and two Social Care Practitioners
- Supporting the effective triage and prioritisation of new referrals and requests
Please note: This is a fixed duty role, and due to the nature of the work, the postholder will not hold an allocated caseload.

Salary range
- £23,775 - £25,352 per year
