You will need to be able to deliver a high-quality maintenance service in a busy school environment. Due to the nature of the tasks required from this role, a good level of physical fitness will be required.
A good working knowledge of Health & Safety, previous experience in delivering quality 'handyman' tasks and experience with dealing with janitorial issues, both routine and reactive in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation, are necessary.
Who are we looking for?We are looking to recruit an efficient and highly organised individual to manage our school premises and grounds.
The successful candidate should have:
- a good working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and its application.
- knowledge of janitorial/security duties and an ability to deliver a skilful handyman service.
- the ability to communicate well with all levels of staff/pupils/parents, and visitors to the school.
- The ability to follow agreed regulations and procedures relating to the duties of the role
- A friendly and approachable nature, and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
