ExpiresExpires: Expiring in less than 2 weeks
£33,119 - £34,811 per year

Could you help people live the life they choose and be part of their community?

North Tynesides Shared Lives Service is looking for a compassionate, organised and confident Shared Lives Co-ordinator to join our team.

You’ll support Shared Lives carers and the people they support, managing a caseload, undertaking monitoring and wellbeing visits, reviewing Shared Lives arrangements and helping to ensure they remain safe, positive and person-centred.

You’ll also help recruit and assess new carers, match people with the right Shared Lives carer, and work closely with individuals, families and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

You’ll need experience of supporting vulnerable adults, a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent, and a good understanding of adult safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act. You’ll be a strong communicator, able to work independently, build positive relationships and confidently address challenges when they arise.

The role involves community visits and travel across North Tyneside, so driving is essential. An Enhanced DBS check for adults and children is required.

If you believe great support starts with listening to people, recognising their strengths and helping them achieve greater independence, we’d love to hear from you.

Our Carbon Net-Zero 2030 Action Plan

In 2019, North Tyneside Council declared a climate emergency. This declaration set a target to reduce the carbon footprint of the council’s operations, and the borough, by 50% by 2023 and to align to the Government’s net zero target of 2050.

We recognise the significant role we can play in the borough in helping to limit climate change, but we can’t do this alone; we need help from all our residents, businesses, voluntary and community sectors and of course all those who apply and work for us. Together we can make North Tyneside a sustainable place to live and work for everyone in the borough.
