What’s the role?

Join us to lead service improvement and change projects across the Housing Directorate to support Lewisham to deliver better services for residents. You will be working collaboratively and at pace with teams to find solutions for some of the Council’s most tricky and complex problems, whether that be in our repairs, homelessness or resident engagement services.

What we’re looking for

You will be a problem solver who can find solutions to tricky issues that often cut across multiple teams. You will use knowledge of service design and project management methodology to put residents first and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to improve how we are delivering services. You will have confidence tackling different issues and will use strong analytical skills to communicate issues and potential solutions to senior leadership. You will provide strategic leadership and direction to secure commitment to change by engaging different audiences.

Location

The job is primarily based in our Lawrence House office in Catford, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis. We expect any applicants to be willing to be in the office at least 2 days a week.

Special conditions

  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience

Salary

£60,633 - £62,742 per annum (PO7)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
