The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced person to join our Transformation Team. The Transformation Team are responsible for overseeing transformational activities in Adult Social Services, including the use of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and developing services that support the delivery of health and social care.
In this role, you will; co-ordinate day to day activities within the Independent Living Centre and the Ageing Well Ageing Well Hubs (see attachment). You will be required to carry out a range of more complex activities working within existing procedures and routines with limited supervision, with periods of lone working. Roles at this level will require a broad knowledge and understanding of the work processes in the specific area of work. The post holder will resolve routine basic technical and process problems and queries, escalating the more complex to others.

Operations and Coordination:
- Oversee daily operations of the ILC and Tamar Court Ageing Well Hub, including opening and closing the building.
- Provide expert support to visitors, practitioners, and partner organisations.
Retail and Equipment Support:
- Deliver expert advice and demonstrations on equipment and technology designed to empower and promote independence.
- Handle sales, orders, and stock management, ensuring effective liaison with suppliers and customers.
- Develop retail offerings by negotiating with manufacturers and staying informed about new products.
Community Engagement and Promotion:
- Actively market the ILC and Ageing Well Hubs through outreach, events, and robust marketing campaigns in collaboration with our marketing team and partners.
- Organise events and maintain up-to-date resource displays to maximise centre usage and visibility.
Service Development and Monitoring:
- Collect, analyse, and report on service performance data to drive improvements.
- Refine processes and develop innovative activities that align with strategic goals.
Facilities Oversight:
- Ensure the ILC building, equipment, and resources are maintained to a high standard, reporting and addressing any issues as needed.
Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.
Work Style
At North Somerset Council, we offer a hybrid working environment based on four distinct work styles. Depending on the role and personal circumstances, you will fall into one of these categories. However, please note that during the induction period, it may be necessary to spend more time in the office to support your learning and development. We are flexible and open to discussions about your preferred working style, and if you wish to be in the office more frequently, this can be negotiated.
This role falls into the category of Fixed Worker which means you can expect to work in the following way:
Fixed Worker
- 4+ days in the office
- Spends most or all of their time in the office, due to nature of the work but can be for reasons such as unsuitable home working conditions or a desire for separation of home and work life.
- The office remains a shared space with cultural encouragement for clear desk policies.

You can demonstrate an eye for detail, particularly in retail, stock management, and data reporting. Salary range
