Service Co-ordinator – It Takes A Village project
The Role
Do you see yourself making a real difference to people facing the sharpest health and social inequalities?
Can you use your organisational and communication skills to support a service that changes lives?
If yes, we have the perfect role for you!
Our ITAV and Pause Service is looking for a dedicated Service Coordinator to join our amazing team and help make a difference today.
About the Role:
At Southwark Council, we are committed to addressing health and social inequalities. We recognise that people facing Multiple Disadvantage (MD) often experience the sharpest inequalities and are too frequently underserved by systems that focus on single issues rather than the wider picture.
As Service Coordinator, you will:
- Provide comprehensive, confidential administrative and coordination support to the ITAV and Pause teams.
- Enable staff to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Support project management processes, including contributing to targets and recording outcomes.
- Manage sensitive communications with service users in complex situations and professionals from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Ensure accurate data collection, monitoring and analysis to support service improvement.
This is a 1-year Fixed Term / Secondment opportunity to gain experience in one of the most exciting, rewarding and challenging areas within health and social care.
About You:
You are a well-organised, creative and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable and marginalised individuals.
You will bring:
- Experience in business administration and providing high-quality support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence managing contact with service users and multi-agency professionals in complex circumstances.
- An understanding of project management principles and experience contributing to targets and outcomes.
- Experience in data collection, monitoring and analysis.
- Knowledge of data protection requirements and the importance of confidentiality, particularly in highly sensitive environments.
You are flexible, collaborative, and committed to ensuring people who need support most are able to access it.
About the Team:
The ITAV and Pause teams are made up of a range of dedicated professionals working together to support people facing Multiple Disadvantage. We take a holistic, person-centred approach - engaging not only with individuals and families, but also with the services and systems around them to ensure fairer, more effective support.
We foster a collaborative and supportive culture where everyone plays a key role. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your experience in health and social care, contribute to meaningful system change, and grow professionally in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.
