    The Post

    As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, secure, and nurturing home for young people.

    You will support their individual needs and promote a caring environment where respect, dignity, privacy, independence, and choice are at the forefront of service delivery.

    You will support and mentor support staff, lead shifts and model emotionally informed practice, and where required you will deputise in the absence of the management of the home.

    Requirements (Essential)

    • Adequate experience working with young people.
    • Experience working as a Residential Support Worker in an Ofsted Registered Residential Children’s Home in the UK.
    • A NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or enrolment to achieve this within a required timeframe.
    • Please note that you will not be shortlisted if you do not have experience in a Residential Children’s Home.
    • A Full UK Driving Licence is desirable for this role.
    The Person

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Has a passion for working with children, with an understanding of the challenges they may face.
    • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with young people and colleagues.
    • Has experience working with children or young people in a care setting, ideally with leadership responsibilities (desirable).
    • Is flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, waking nights and sleep-in shifts to meet the needs of the home.
    • Is curious, courageous, and kind, demonstrating these qualities in all your work with children, their families, professional networks, and colleagues.
