This role requires strong technical capability, analytical rigour, and the confidence to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly Children’s Social Care KPIs, dashboards, and management information for senior leaders and operational teams.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, operational trackers, and strategic scorecards to support both frontline practice and leadership oversight.
  • Support key thematic areas such as CSC Reform, Adoption, Fostering, Early Help, Child Protection, CIN and CLA, creating performance frameworks and visualising these in accessible reports.
  • Work proactively with operational and system teams to improve data recording, strengthen data quality, and enhance performance monitoring across Mosaic and related systems.
  • Support preparation for Ofsted inspections, including producing datasets, summaries, and analytical evidence.
  • Contribute to improving automation, transitioning manual processes into system‑based or data warehouse‑driven reporting.
  • Provide expert advice, written analysis, and briefings to managers and senior leaders.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic, detail‑driven analysts with a strong understanding of Children’s Social Care, high ability to analyse data and deliver insight to the organisation and a commitment to improving outcomes for children through high‑quality intelligence.

You will bring:

  • Ability to analyse complex data, communicate findings clearly, and produce accessible reports for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively with operational teams to improve data quality and system use.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise competing deadlines, and remain accurate under pressure
  • Extensive experience producing or supporting Children’s Social Care statutory returns (CIN, 903, etc.).
  • Strong technical skills in Power BI, advanced Excel,SQL with confidence maintaining and troubleshooting dashboards.
  • Understanding of Children’s Social Care workflows including Early Help, Child Protection, CIN, CLA and Section 47 processes
  • Experience supporting an Ofsted inspection or operating in an Ofsted‑focused environment (desirable).
  • What We Offer

    • Two permanent, full‑time positions (37 hours per week)
    • Competitive salary aligned to Wokingham Borough Council’s updated Pay & Reward framework
