Due to our two‑year pilot expansion of Residential Brokerage starting April 2026, we are seeking a Senior Broker to lead and support the development of our new residential placement brokerage function, while continuing to oversee general brokerage activity. This is a key leadership role within Adult Social Care’s commissioning and market management arrangements.

Alongside leading the residential workstream, the Senior Broker will ensure the brokerage team continues to deliver a high‑quality home‑care sourcing function. This includes overseeing the negotiation and allocation of home‑care packages, supporting staff in securing timely, best‑value care solutions across all service types.

About the Role

As a Senior Broker, you will:

  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision, support and development of a team of Brokers.
  • Lead the triage, allocation and monitoring of all referrals, including residential and home‑care requests.
  • Drive best practice in negotiation, ensuring consistent challenge of supplements, top‑ups and provider fee proposals.
  • Oversee ADAM portal use for both residential and home‑care packages.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with providers, commissioners, operational teams and partners.
  • Produce performance reports, identify trends and support strategic decision‑making.
  • Support policy, procedure and service improvement across Brokerage.

This is an ideal role for someone who is confident in negotiation, relationship building, problem solving and staff supervision.

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in negotiating care packages, resolving disputes and managing complex information.
  • Experience of working within social care, commissioning, contracting or related environments (essential).
  • Experience in supervising staff and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build professional relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and IT skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality reports.
  • HNC/Diploma NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience.
