The Post
One of the Government’s main priorities is to ensure that all forms of homelessness and rough sleeping is reduced. At Brent Council, we are very committed and passionate about this.
We have received funding from Ministry of, Housing, Communities and Local Government for a full time Rough Sleeper Navigator positions to work with rough sleepers to navigate pathways for a life away from the streets.
The post holder will act as a single point of contact for rough sleepers and work with this client group in a person-centred way to ensure sustainable outcomes around housing are achieved.
The postholder must have comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and procedures on homelessness in order to provide innovative advice and solutions when dealing with complex cases. Clear guidance and supervision will be provided in an organisation that promotes people from within, is passionate about equality and diversity and wants its staff to succeed.
You will be supporting rough sleepers to end their homelessness and will do this by providing robust housing advice and support, working with partner agencies and developing personalised housing plans for customers with a firm focus on homelessness prevention to ensure that customers housing and homelessness issues are resolved.

We are looking for an empathetic individual who is passionate about providing the best level of services to vulnerable rough sleepers.
You will be able to work well under pressure and manage a busy workload, able to prioritise and organise your work so that customer care is never compromised.
You will be a fast learner who is able to take on training around legislation and go on to apply it with support.
We are seeking for someone who is motivated and naturally caring in nature and who has an interest in supporting individuals who have a history rough sleeping.
To meet the requirements of this exciting role, you will have a passion for collaborative multi-agency working and the skills to assist service users to attain the skills required to successfully maintain and sustain a tenancy and to live independently in the community.

Salary range
- £40,182 - £42,060 per year
