Making a Difference as Residential Support Worker
The post holder will contribute to the provision of our service to young people, providing high quality care and appropriate levels of supervision for children and young people at Abbeyford Children's Home. Abbeyford provides short breaks to children and young people who have a learning disability and associated health need.
Abbeyford is currently rated as "Outstanding in all areas" by Ofsted.
Ideally applicants should have some experience of working in a Health and Social Care setting and have an ability to work directly with vulnerable people and manage challenging behaviour. However, full training is provided for this role.
This role is part time and is for 18.5 hours every week, working on a rosterd basis.
St Helens council will support your development as you work towards and complete your Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (with social care pathway) within 2 years of commencement. You must be willing to complete this course to apply for the position.

Salary range
- £15,012 - £16,298.50 per year
