About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

How You’ll Be Involved

As a Rapid Response Planner, you will manage the end-to-end scheduling of repair works across a designated geographical or service area, ensuring that work orders are allocated to the right operative, with the correct priority, trade, and sequence of works. You will work closely with supervisors, operatives, contractors, and other operational teams to maximise productivity, minimise delays, and ensure excellent outcomes for residents.

A significant aspect of this role is supporting Camden's compliance with Awaab's Law, ensuring that damp, mould, and other health-related repair cases are prioritised appropriately, monitored proactively, and progressed within required timescales. The successful candidate will play a vital role in protecting residents and ensuring regulatory and statutory obligations are met.

This position forms part of Camden's Core Team (One Truth) approach, working collaboratively across services to ensure a consistent, resident-focused repairs service. By maintaining accurate repair records, effective communication, and robust scheduling processes, you will contribute to one joined-up view of repair activity and performance across the service. At all times, there will be a strong focus on delivering an excellent customer experience, right-first-time repairs, and continuous service improvement.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require a Basic DBS.

All About You

To find out more about what it is like to work at Camden, meet some of our People by visiting 'www.camdenjobs.co.uk/our-stories'.

You are an organised and proactive planner who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. With experience in repairs, maintenance, housing, scheduling, or workforce planning, you understand the importance of balancing customer needs, business priorities, and available resources to deliver an efficient and responsive service.

You have a talent for coordinating complex workloads, adapting quickly to changing demands, and finding practical solutions to operational challenges. Working collaboratively with supervisors, operatives, contractors, and colleagues across the service, you build positive working relationships and contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and using systems and data to make informed decisions, monitor performance, and ensure work is completed within agreed timescales. You take pride in maintaining accurate records and ensuring residents receive clear communication and excellent service throughout their repairs journey.

Most importantly, you are committed to delivering positive outcomes for residents. You understand the impact that repairs can have on people's lives and are motivated by providing a reliable, customer-focused service. An understanding of responsive repairs, damp and mould, disrepair, and housing-related service standards would be beneficial, along with a willingness to learn and develop within a high-performing operational team.
