We have a great opportunity for a Public Health Support Officer on a full time, fixed-term basis for 12 months.

About you...
This is an exciting new opportunity for you to join our Bracknell Forest Council Public Health Team as a Public Health Support Officer (Tobacco Control and Stop Smoking).
As a Public Health Support Officer you will have experience engaging with a variety of stakeholders. You will develop relationships across local communities.
You will be analytical with the ability to problem solve, to assess public health data and develop evidence-based strategies for health improvement.
We are looking for a dynamic person who will support the development and delivery of effective strategic approaches to expand tobacco control initiatives, and deliver community engagement to encourage more people to stop smoking.

Key responsibilities...
- Support the relevant Public Health Lead in the development and delivery of public health programmes and projects on the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases (NCD) associated with tobacco use.
- Strengthen community engagement, especially with vulnerable groups, to ensure tobacco control and stop-smoking programmes help reduce inequalities.
- Work with the Public Health Lead to plan, develop, and deliver stop-smoking and tobacco control programmes, services, and projects in partnership with the local stop-smoking service and the Regional Tobacco Control Lead.
- Work collaboratively to develop and implement community-wide health initiatives targeting NCD prevention and health equity.
- Work with other team members in the development of the stop smoking needs assessment and engagement review.
