What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved
This post plays a key role in reducing the usage of temporary accommodation through the procurement of private rented tenancies that meet the required health and safety and homelessness legislation, licensing and planning standards and reducing the numbers of empty properties in Camden.
You will be responsible for delivering homelessness solutions through the procurement of suitable private rented accommodation. Responsible for a team of PRS procurement and placement advisers, you will ensure quality and standards required are met through daily management and regular supervisions. You will also be expected to provide monthly reports, manage a large budget and be responsive to senior management requests.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Basic DBS.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in property procurement and managing a team of procurement officers. A good communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer care skills. You are highly organised and efficient and have experience of working within the private sector, with exposure to Homelessness and their needs when being housed in this sector.
The ideal candidate will have excellent working knowledge of private rented sector legislation and policies and be highly organised. You have a working knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 Part VII as well as related legislation, such as Protection from Eviction Act, environmental health legislation and welfare benefit legislation is highly beneficial.
