About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate

The Royal Borough of Kingston are currently seeking a Commissioning and Procurement Officer to support the delivery of their commissioning governance and policy workstream. You will work to support the Commissioning Governance Board to provide procurement governance administration and support on policy research and development including for London Living Wage, Modern Slavery, Ethical Sourcing and Social Value.

This role will give you the opportunity to work on interesting projects that are driving the transformation and greening procurement agenda.

Your role will include:

- Providing professional commissioning and procurement project support to commissioning leads across the Council

- Developing excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to maximise the understanding of commissioning and procurement to deliver positive outcomes

- Refreshing the Council’s commissioning and procurement policies, guidance, materials and templates

- Supporting the procurement governance/gateway process to ensure timely and informed commercial decisions
