
Procurement Officer
Make a Difference in Lancaster
Join us as a Procurement Officer and play a vital role in supporting Lancaster City Council’s Corporate Procurement Strategy. Your work will ensure that procurement activities are efficient, transparent, and aligned with our community values. By promoting best practices and supporting social value initiatives, you’ll help the Council deliver services that positively impact the lives of local people.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll provide expert procurement advice and support, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements. Your role includes developing training, managing contract registers, and contributing to procurement software and policy improvements. You’ll also assist with contract coordination, evaluate new procurement opportunities, and support the Council’s eSourcing portal and procurement card scheme.

You have strong numeracy skills, excellent communication, and a responsible approach to decision-making. Whether you hold a procurement qualification or bring relevant experience, you’ll thrive working both independently and collaboratively. Salary range
- £26,403 - £31,022 per year
