Join our Planning team as a Planning System Analyst Assistant, helping to support, maintain and improve the business-critical systems and processes that underpin Planning Development Management services.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
As part of our Planning team, you will support the development, maintenance and improvement of the systems used by Planning Development Management and Building Control services.
Working closely with the Planning System Analyst, you will help ensure planning information is managed accurately and efficiently, supporting both service delivery and customer engagement.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
As part of our Planning team, you will support the development, maintenance and improvement of the systems used by Planning Development Management and Building Control services.
Working closely with the Planning System Analyst, you will help ensure planning information is managed accurately and efficiently, supporting both service delivery and customer engagement.
You will:
- Support the maintenance, development and upgrade of Planning and Building Control software systems.
- Assist with system integration, data management, performance reporting and customer insight activities.
- Contribute to projects that improve service delivery, efficiency and the customer experience.
- Input and maintain accurate data within planning systems to support the processing of planning applications and related functions in line with statutory requirements.
- Create spatial data using the Planning Development Management GIS system.
- Use a range of specialist systems to support communications, advertising and records management requirements.
- Ensure information is managed, published and maintained in line with GDPR requirements.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will need:
- Minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent at grades A to C including English Language.
- Working towards achieving a BTEC National in Public Administration or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent, or experience relevant to the role.
- Experience of dealing with members of the public over the telephone within an office environment
- Experience of working with IT systems and software packages designed to support service delivery
