    Full -Time position based at The Hub, Barnsley Town Centre

    We are looking for an exceptional Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join our team at The Hub, a welcoming and vibrant drop- in centre. Our vision for The Hub is a one -stop shop where young people can access support, have a chat, take part in activities, learn new skills, or simply spend time in a safe and friendly environment.

    This is a unique opportunity for someone who can build meaningful relationships with young people age 15 – 25 years, while bringing creativity, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to this brand new role.

    We’re looking for someone with a fantastic personality, a positive outlook, and a genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.

    You will be:-

    • Creative and artistic, with a flair for developing fun and meaningful activities
    • Passionate about crafts, arts, cooking and baking
    • An experienced organiser who can plan and deliver engaging events, workshops and celebrations.

    • A team player with a positive “can do” attitude
    • Someone who sees possibilities rather than barriers.

    The Role

    As a Leaving Care Personal Advisor, you will

    • Support young people transitioning from care into independent adulthood
    • Build a trusting relationship with young people from age 15 – 15 years
    • Work with multi-agency stakeholders to provide advise, guidance and practical support around housing, education, health, employment, well being, training and independent living.
    • Plan and deliver creative activities, life skill sessions, social events and workshops
    • Use cooking, baking, arts, crafts and activities to encourage participation and build confidence
    • Create a welcoming atmosphere within The Hub where young people feel valued, listened to, and supported.
    • Advocate for young people and help them to access opportunities and services
    • Celebrate achievements and encourage young people to believe in themselves and their futures.
