Job Introduction

The Role

This is a pivotal role at the intersection of technology, data, and service delivery. You’ll progress the development of our waste management IT systems, support online reporting tools for residents, and provide analytical insights to enhance operational efficiency. A key part of your role will be to manage performance reporting, including developing dashboards, analysing complex datasets, and identifying service trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Working closely with contractors, software providers, and internal teams, you’ll ensure our systems are robust, user-friendly, and aligned with strategic goals. This role is a job share.

The Experience you will bring

Proven experience in managing and developing IT systems, ideally within waste management or similar operational services. Competent in developing and delivering performance reporting frameworks, using tools like Power BI to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.

Hands-on experience with system upgrades, software integrations, and liaising with third-party providers to implement technical solutions. You will be confident and experienced in stakeholder engagement, including working with contractors, internal teams, and external partners to deliver system and service improvements. Familiarity with GIS mapping, API development, and digital self-service platforms to support channel shift initiatives is highly desirable. Alongside a good understanding of financial reconciliation processes, particularly for income-generating services such as commercial collections. Experience in project management of small to medium sized projects, delivering outcomes in time, within scope and in line with corporate standards.

This role will require you to be willing and able to work collaboratively and effectively with whom this post job shares, therefore excellent teamwork and communication is essential.
