Help us build something new for adoptive families
Are you an adoptive parent with a passion for supporting others? Do you believe in the power of lived experience and the difference that connection with someone who truly understands can make?
Family Adoption Links is looking for two enthusiastic Peer Network Coordinators to help us develop an exciting new peer support offer for adoptive families across our region. Working across North Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire and Rutland, Leicester and Leicestershire, and Northamptonshire, you will help us create opportunities for families to connect, share experiences, build supportive networks and have their voices heard.
You will work closely with a second Peer Network Coordinator, as well as colleagues across Family Adoption Links and Adoption East Midlands, sharing learning and developing a coordinated pan-regional approach to peer support.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to help shape and establish a new service, working alongside families and people with lived experience to make sure what we develop is accessible, relevant and meaningful.
Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.
About you
We are looking for an experienced adoptive parent who can draw appropriately on their own lived experience to support and empower other families.
You will be confident building relationships, working with volunteers and bringing people together. You will have a good understanding of adoption, the experiences and challenges faced, and the support needs of adoptive families, together with the enthusiasm and creativity to help develop new opportunities.
A full driving licence and the ability to travel across the FAL region, or an alternative means of meeting the travel requirements, is essential.
