37 hours per week – TTO (1yr FTC)

The children, staff and governors of Lingey House Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and reflective Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in The Nest, our internal alternative provision. This post has a social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) specialism and involves supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

We are looking for a candidate who:

Has experience and specialist knowledge of supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, including children with EHCPs.

Builds positive, trusting relationships with children and understands the importance of belonging, nurture and inclusion.

Is passionate about helping children develop their emotional regulation, confidence and independence, alongside their learning.

Will promote our school ethos and values through their daily interactions with children, families and colleagues.

Is calm, flexible and resilient, and can support children sensitively through challenging situations.

Works effectively with teachers, support staff, families and other professionals to support children’s individual needs and EHCP outcomes.

Is committed to continued professional development.

Has high expectations of themselves and the children they support.

Has experience of working within a school setting (essential).

Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
