
Operative Level 1 (Place Working)
An opportunity has arisen within Worcester city council’s City Services. We are looking for a street cleaning/grounds maintenance operatives with excellent knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm to help front line services. You will be working to ensure Worcester is a clean, tidy and safe city.
We are looking for operatives with the relevant environmental services experience to join our team on a permanent basis. As part of our Place team the post holder will work on the front line working as part of the place team. Tasks involve litter picking, hedge cutting, strimming, mowing and general grounds maintenance duties.
A key part of the role will be the ability to deliver good customer service to residents of, and visitors to, Worcester city.
We place a high priority on health and safety, so candidates will need a good understanding of these practices in a busy front-line service.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of and ideally have experience in, grounds maintenance and street cleaning.
A full UK driving licence is desirable.
The hours of work are 37 per week Monday-Friday.
