Job Introduction

Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

Dudley Council is transforming the way we deliver services for our residents, communities and businesses. We are seeking a number of exceptional Strategic Operational Leads to play a key role in shaping the future of our Housing and Property services across the borough.

About the roles

The Housing and Property Team is recruiting Operations Managers to support the delivery of several key functions.

These are senior operational service leadership roles, operating across statutory services and areas that are high-profile, politically sensitive and emotive. Some services operate outside normal office hours, so successful candidates must be prepared to work flexibly when required.

Successful postholders will report to the Associate Director Acquisitions, Compliance & Maintenance and will provide oversight across a number of related service areas.

The Operational Manager of Acquisitions, Disposals & New Developments will lead the service responsible for the acquisition and disposal of residential and non-residential properties, alongside new development activities, including:

  • Property acquisitions
  • Disposals, including leases
  • New-build construction, commissioning and handover
  • Option modelling and feasibility studies
  • Building Control

Why Join Us?

You'll be joining a council with ambitious plans for improvement and transformation, where your leadership will directly influence services that matter to thousands of residents.

We offer:

  • A senior leadership opportunity within a forward-thinking Housing & Assets Property Group
  • The opportunity to shape, develop and improve critical housing and property services
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership environment
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements

Important information
