An opportunity has arisen within the Children, Young People & Families Directorate for a Technical Operational Supervisor within the Blaenau Gwent Catering Service. The position is part-time, 14.5 hours per week – Thursday and Friday only.
The officer will provide efficient and cost-effective supervision of the Authority’s catering establishments cashless catering systems, auditing financial procedures, monitoring systems, school debt, stock levels and providing technical operational support for the catering service.
Also provide relevant training on technical operational service needs.
The successful candidate will hold a GCSE grade C or above in Maths, English and ICT, have proven experience of managing data systems, Microsoft Word & Excel, monitoring of stock control and training on financial procedures and previous experience of working with data systems.
You will be prepared to work additional hours or at any reasonable time of day as required to ensure the smooth running of the catering unit.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Child Barred List
