We are seeking to recruit an experienced, values‑driven Occupational Therapy practitioner to add to our integrated Adult Social Care service.
About the Role
You will be part of a generic Adult Social Care team, maintaining a strong focus on quality, outcomes and strengths‑based practice while working at pace.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Strengths‑Based Practitioners, you will work closely with health colleagues, commissioned providers and internal partners to ensure coordinated, safe and effective support for residents and those supported by the City.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering relationship-based core occupational therapy practice which is informed by statutory legislation and guidance, best evidence, and research.
- Assessing complex need, planning and working purposefully with service users, support networks and other professionals to manage risk, safeguard vulnerable people and promote positive outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with commissioning and health partners
- Championing anti‑racist, anti‑oppressive and inclusive practice
Reporting to the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play an active role in developing Adult Social Care across the Square Mile.
About You
You will be a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with experience in assessments and rehabilitation working with a range of service users in the community. You will be a confident practitioner who can build effective and meaningful relationships with service users and other professionals, act as an advocate and promote positive outcomes whilst working at pace and support the review and development of practice within the Square Mile.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong assessment and advocacy skills,
- Sound knowledge of adult social care legislation and statutory duties
- Commitment to strengths‑based and person‑centred practice
- Confidence working across organisational boundaries
- Reflective, resilient and compassionate practice
