Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in people's lives? As an Occupational Therapist in our Adult Social Care team, you will assess and support individuals with complex needs, helping them to achieve their personal goals. You will play a vital role in promoting independence and enhancing wellbeing through tailored support plans and community resources.

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to identify individual needs.
  • Develop and review support plans that promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Identify reablement opportunities and community resources to enhance quality of life.
  • Collaborate with local providers and support networks to achieve better outcomes.
  • Provide professional advice and support to individuals, their families, and colleagues.
  • Undertake safeguarding investigations related to occupational therapy issues.
  • Mentor and support less experienced staff, contributing to service development.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • For newly qualified OTs (Band A): Completion or willingness to undertake the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • For experienced OTs (Band B): At least two years of post-qualification experience in handling complex cases.

  • The ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
