We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work within a highly effective Notice Processing Team.
You will be proactive with the daily workload within the Parking Services back-office, ensuring a comprehensive and quality Notice and permit processing service is provided within the legislatively defined guidelines and deadlines. You will be required to address queries within the team and be able to communicate issues effectively with the Notice Processing Supervisor and Civil Enforcement Supervisor.
You will be required to deal with parking and transport related enquiries by telephone, in person, by letter and electronic communication effectively. You will need to make important recommendations for Penalty Charge Notice ‘cancellation or write off’ following consideration of the evidence submitted by an appellant against the council’s evidence.
You will be expected to establish and maintain accurate and appropriate Penalty Charge Notice and parking permit systems also be able to produce standard computer reports or management information as required. You will also be able to produce detailed case files that will be submitted to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal. Assist in the monitoring of debt recovery procedures.
You will be competent in a number of computer programs, primarily Microsoft, Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new systems such as bespoke parking enforcement software. You will be educated to at least ‘GCSE’ standard or equivalent.
This post is considered by DBC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

Salary range
- £27,969.02 - £30,341.03 per year
