    Do you have a full current driver's license?

    Do you have a City and Guilds or mulit-trade qualification in a relevant trade discipline?

    If so, we’d welcome your application to work within our Environmental Services service.

    You will work a 37hr week, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. You will be required to be on call every 3rd weekend during the summer months (April-September), for which you will receive an on-call payment regardless of whether you are called in to work.

    About the role

    You will be driving from site to site, keeping them in good working order by maintaining plumbing and fixtures and fittings. Your key tasks will be:

    • Undertaking fault finding, maintenance repairs and new installations.
    • Completing dynamic risk assessments, writing reports and worksheets, and taking photographic evidence of completed works.
    • Working effectively to ensure labour and material costs are kept to a minimum.
    • Providing a positive, inclusive, and accessible customer experience.
    • Identifying and sourcing required materials including ordering at wholesalers.
    • Working well as part of a team, linking with and supporting other trades to ensure successful completions of work.

    You will need to:

    • Possess a City & Guilds qualification or proven/equivalent experience within the plumbing and maintenance industry in one of the trade disciplines described below or a multi trade qualification, and capabilities to undertake works from the following selection: bricklaying, carpentry & joinery, plastering, plumbing, roofing, damp proof coursing, tiling, or glazing.
    • Good knowledge of risk assessment
    • Good knowledge of the building industry
    • Good understanding of health and safety
    • Have a full, current UK driving licence.

    Additional information

    Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
