The role:

As Spectator Experience Manager, you will play a leading role in designing and delivering the citywide fan and spectator experience across Liverpool's portfolio of major sporting events.

You will champion the spectator perspective at every stage of planning and delivery, helping to ensure that every visitor enjoys a welcoming, inclusive, safe and memorable experience from the moment they arrive in the city to the moment they leave.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of Liverpool's citywide spectator and fan experience across major sporting events
• Acting as the voice of the spectator, ensuring event planning and delivery is shaped by audience needs, informed by insight and aligned to agreed experience standards
• Overseeing the end-to-end visitor journey, identifying opportunities to enhance engagement, increase dwell time and maximise the social and economic benefits major events bring to the city
• Driving the development of vibrant fan experiences, including city activations, fan zones, live sites, cultural programming, city dressing and visitor information that showcase Liverpool's unique character and hospitality
• Working collaboratively with operational, transport, accessibility, marketing, cultural programming and stakeholder teams to deliver a seamless and integrated spectator experience
• Gathering audience insight, measuring experience outcomes and embedding continuous improvement to help strengthen Liverpool's reputation as a leading destination for major events

We're looking for an experienced event professional who understands visitor experience, stakeholder management and large-scale event delivery. You'll be equally comfortable developing strategic plans and overseeing delivery on the ground in a fast-paced live event environment.

This role is fixed term for the purpose delivering a programme of major events and will end on 31 July 2028.
