A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Corporate Landlord Services Team as a Building Services Engineer – Mechanical / Electrical. This full‑time, permanent role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across the Directorate by ensuring our property portfolio remains compliant, efficient, safe, and fit for purpose.
You will play a key role in delivering an effective, economic, and high‑quality compliance and repair & maintenance service that protects the value of the Council’s assets. Working alongside a team of experienced Building Services Engineers, you will take responsibility for a compliance portfolio covering DMBC buildings and schools that buy into our traded service.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Delivering reactive and planned maintenance improvement schemes for building services and equipment, ensuring works are viable, cost‑effective, and completed to the highest standard.
Monitoring and supporting the delivery of statutory testing, servicing, and periodic maintenance, ensuring programmes are achieved and compliance is evidenced through certification.
Providing effective and economic repair and maintenance services across the portfolio.
Offering design input and project management for service‑related schemes.
Supporting the Council’s Repairs & Maintenance Procurement Partnerships and working collaboratively with contractors.
