
Leaving Care Personal Advisors
Do you have a passion for care leavers and helping young people to succeed? Do you bring skills and experience of working with young people to meet their goals and aspirations?
In this role you will:
- Support young people to develop their independent living skills and to be successfully engaged in education, training and employment.
- Undertake regular visits and work collaboratively with young people and those supporting them within the framework of their pathway plan.
- Provide young person-focused support to ensure our care leavers achieve their ambitions and realise their highest potential.
- Work as part of a supportive team to provide a high quality service to all of our young people
Our Care Leavers Service is one of the nation’s biggest and supports care experienced young adults in their transition from care to independence.
Our priority is to support and enable our care experienced young adults to realise their aspiration and ambition and have a sense of feeling cared for, cared about, and able to care for themselves. Championing their voice as corporate parents is central to all that we do and achieve with them.

This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.

The level of check (Standard, Enhanced, or Enhanced with Barred List) is determined based on the specific responsibilities of the role and the level of contact with children and young people.
