About the Role

Key Account Managers play a pivotal role in the work that we do, working alongside bus operators and collaboratively with partners to deliver the best bus network and passenger experience that we can.

The post holder will work with a variety of stakeholders including transport operators and other local authority colleagues, both internal and external, during a key time of transition for the LCR Bus industry, as we roll out Bus Franchised Contracts across the region.

This is a 12 month fixed term vacancy.


About the person

You will be a proactive and organised professional with strong experience managing contracts, budgets, and stakeholder relationships. You will be analytical, collaborative, and focused on delivering reliable, high-quality transport services that meet performance standards.

You will be responsible for effective budget forecasting and monitoring, ensuring strong governance and audit standards, and leading contract procurement from evaluation and award through to mobilisation. The role also includes robust contract and performance management.

Strong data management and the effective use of systems are central to the role, alongside ensuring business continuity, organisational resilience, and proactive risk management.
