A great opportunity has arisen for an Income Officer in the Housing Service to support in maximising rental income by offering a person centred and supportive pre-tenancy assessment to identify individual needs and make referrals.

The Income Management Team are responsible for collecting rent from over 26,000 tenants in Bristol. Bristol City Council take a supportive approach to tenancy sustainment and seeks to identify individual support needs as early as possible to sustain tenancies. This new role will be responsible for completing income and expenditure assessments before the start of tenancy to refer applicants to necessary support agencies and identify areas to maximise income.

This Income Officer (Pre-Tenancy) role will involve speaking to applicants sensitively about their finances with the opportunity to build trust in our Income Management service from day one. Working as part of the wider team and in conjunction with colleagues across the Housing Service you will play an integral role in giving tenants the best start possible.

Please note that this role is subject to a Basic DBS Check.
